Little Elm’s watering rules, and why turf changes the math
Little Elm is under Water Conservation Stage 2. Landscape watering is limited to one day a week from April 1 to October 31 and once every other week from November 1 to March 31, on days assigned by trash-collection zone on the Town’s map, and no watering is allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Non-residential properties follow the residential trash zone they sit in. Foundations, new landscaping and first-year shrubs and trees may be watered for up to two hours on any day by hand-held hose, soaker hose or a dedicated drip zone.
