Artificial turf in Fort Worth
Heavyweight, UV-stabilized turf on an engineered base, built for Fort Worth homeowners who are done with the watering calendar. Lawns, pet turf and putting greens, with Fort Worth’s watering rules explained below.
Fort Worth’s watering rules, and why turf changes the math
Fort Worth’s watering rules apply all year. Residential addresses water twice a week on assigned days: even-numbered addresses on Wednesday and Saturday, odd-numbered on Thursday and Sunday; non-residential sites water on Tuesday and Friday. There is no watering by irrigation systems or sprinklers between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., and no watering on Mondays. Violations carry administrative fees under City Ordinance 21194-07-2014, starting at $25 and rising to a citation and meter lock-out on the fourth. Watering by hand-held hose is allowed at any time, and newly planted sod, seed or hydromulch can be granted a variance for no more than 30 consecutive days.
Checked September 2026. Rules change with drought stages; the Fort Worth year-round outdoor watering requirements page is the authority.
Zero water
With strict local ordinances and tiered water rates, artificial turf offers a zero-water solution. A typical 1,800-square-foot lawn can save approximately 99,000 gallons of water annually, potentially reducing water bills by 70%.
Built for the Texas sun
We exclusively install heavyweight (50oz-111oz) UV-stabilized turf designed to withstand the harsh Texas sun without fading or melting. Does turf get too hot in Texas?
What we install in Fort Worth
Every install starts the same way: excavation 3-4 inches deep, Class II road base with decomposed granite, drainage, a commercial-grade weed barrier, then the turf cut to fit and finished with infill and power-brushing. The full six-step process is on our services page, and what sits under the turf is explained layer by layer in our base guide.
